Han Wang

Hi! I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, supervised by Prof. Mohit Bansal. Before that, I got my master’s degree from New York University and bachelor’s degree from Tongji University. My research interests include improving the robustness, efficiency, and reliability of LLMs/MLLMs, with a focus on evaluating and improving reasoning and agentic capabilities. I am also interested in knowledge-grounded agents, particularly how agents search for and use external knowledge under real-world uncertainty, toward faithful and generalizable agents. I always favor and pursue the methods that are simple, intuitive, and effective. I am actively looking for internship position for 2027 summer, feel free to reach out!

I am currently working as a research intern at Snowflake AI Research with Xiaodong Yu and Zhewei Yao. I’ve spent time at AMD GenAI team with Xiaodong Yu and Zicheng Liu, Amazon with Rinat Khaziev, Tencent with Mo Yu, Microsoft Research Asia with Lei Cui, Microsoft Cognitive Services Research Group with Chenguang Zhu and Yang Liu, and Westlake University with Prof. Yue Zhang.
